Two die after truck plunges into River Aswa in Pader District
Two people, a driver and a turn man, have been killed after the truck they were traveling in plunged into River Aswa in Pader District.
The heavily loaded truck was reportedly traveling from Kitgum to Gulu on Thursday when the driver lost control and plunged into the river.
According to Pader CPS, security agencies, including traffic police and General Duty officers, swiftly responded to the scene and are managing the situation.
The incident was initially reported by Lt. Col. Toskin Masai, Commander of the 507 Brigade.
Authorities have assured the public that the situation remains calm, with monitoring ongoing as investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
