UPDF Soldier Jailed 30 Years for Killing Man He caught Red-Handed Bonking His Wife

UPDF Soldier identified as private Ronald Okello, attached to the 5th Division Regiment was on Friday April 17, 2026, sentenced to 30 years in Jail for murdering Godfrey Opio whom he accused of bonking his wife, Doris Etyang.

The heatless soldier was sentenced by Lira High court Judge Lady Justice Sarah Birungi, after he pleaded guilty to the murder case.

Since the convict pleaded guilty without wasting court’s time, Lady Justice Sarah Birungi passed a lenient sentence to him by awarding him a 30 year Jail sentence.

Prosecution told court that in June 2024, at Abolonyero village in Kole district, the convict who was armed shot dead Godfrey Opio whom he got red handed bonking his wife, Doris Etyang.
