MANAFWA: Bugisu Clan Chairpersons Petition President Museveni Over Nandutu Imprisonment
Bugisu Clan Chairpersons have petitioned President Museveni through their Umukuka III, HRH Jude Mudoma to have the imprisonment of former State Minister for Karamoja Affairs, Agnes Nandutu rescinded.
The over 100 Clan Chairpersons made the petition today, Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Manafwa district where the Umukuka was meeting clan heads from Mubuya.
The clan chairmen that petitioned are from Manafwa, Namisindwa and Bududa.
The Spokesperson of Bukuka, Steven Masiga told this publication that they will be meeting President Museveni over the same as a Cultural Institution.
District Leaders present at the function include the LCV Chairman, Manfwa, and Assistant RDC Manafwa who represented RDC Sale Kamba.
In response to the elders’ request, Umukuka Mudoma pledged to follow up the issue with the President saying since the court has already made the ruling, his actions shall not be taken as interfering with court processes.
