BUTALEJA: Court Remands Man for Using Forged Diploma Certificate to Secure Parish Chief Job
A former Parish Chief of Muyagu Parish, Butaleja District has been remanded on allegations of forging a Diploma Certificate to secure a Parish Chief Job.
Mulogo Juma was arraigned before the Butaleja Magistrate’s Court, today, Friday, April 24, 2026 on charges of Forgery and Uttering a False Document.
According to the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, Mulogo with intent to defraud, allegedly forged an academic transcript for a Diploma in Public Administration and Management, purporting it to have been issued by Kyambogo University, which was false.
He reportedly used the forged documents to secure employment in 2021 as the Parish Chief of Muyagu Parish in Butaleja District and has since been earning a salary.
He has been remanded until 28th April, 2024 when he will re-appear before court for mention of his case.
