The Ministry of Internal Affairs has strengthened security in border districts with DR Congo—Bundibugyo, Ntoroko, and Kasese—aiming to prevent illegal foreigners from entering Uganda. To manage this, the Ministry is working closely with local internal security and council leaders, sensitizing them to screen non-Ugandans. This initiative is designed to enhance national security and ease the strain on essential services intended for Ugandan citizens.
