How Norbert Mao’s speakership bid has put food on the table of many politicians

Even before starting to earn from parliamentary monthly pay, the newly elected Members of Parliament are already earning huge amounts of money coming from dark corridors.

This money is not for anything else but to ensure that Mao gets fewer votes during the speakership elections.

Unfortunately, the side where the money is coming from has not done due diligence to establish whether they are dealing with honest people who will not vote for Mao.

I was surprised even more when I saw that even politicians whose names will not even appear on the list to vote for the Speaker are also moving with bundles of money, calling for meetings with councillors, with the aim of not supporting Norbert Mao.

But my findings are that Mao is not a joking creature of God. He has allowed people to eat money but still ensures that he pursues the speakership bid.

Ever since Norbert Mao announced his speakership bid, this clique claiming to be supporting our sister from Teso, Rt. Hon. Anita Among, against Mao is getting a lot of money from sources kept secret, claiming they will not vote for Mao, but from the bottom of their hearts they love Hon. Mao.

I want to inform my sister, the current Speaker, that no one wants to tell you the truth. Instead, they want to continue milking money from you, but in the end, they will disappoint you.

Be assured that the majority of independent MPs will not vote for you. Much as you took them to the NRM Secretariat, yes, they will work with the party, but they are not ready to support you.

If the hearts of human beings could be opened using bolts, you would open all the hearts of independently elected MPs and see how many will support you.

Remember, even those who went through the NRM ticket and the opposition are hiding their bitterness towards you. They just pretend to smile and laugh to make you think you are loved, but they want Norbert Mao.

They know that Hon. Mao may not be having enough money to give them, so being close to you gives them an opportunity to get what they want from you and disappoint you in the end.

My advice to Hon. Anita Among is that unless you go back to the drawing board, the system and approach you have in place will not manage to save you from the teeth of an elephant from Acholi. I am telling you the truth.

No one should joke with Hon. Norbert Mao. He may look simple, he may look unbothered, he may appear absent in everything, but in actual sense he is present and receives every piece of information and the plans your team is making against his speakership bid.

Above all, Hon. Mao’s bid has opened up the locked granaries of money, and if the speakership election could be extended to July, trust me, everyone in these two camps would be rich.
