Renowned as the largest freshwater cattail marsh in the United States, the 33,000-acre Horicon Marsh is home to over 300 species of birds throughout the year. As the fall season approaches, the marsh welcomes a spectacular array of migrating ducks, majestic sandhill cranes, and graceful Canada geese - with lucky visitors even having the chance to catch a glimpse of the rare whooping crane. Attendees of this exclusive tour will have the unique opportunity to board a pontoon boat and cruise through the marsh, immersing themselves in the natural beauty that surrounds them. The journey will continue with a delicious lunch at a local favorite restaurant, followed by a self-guided exploration of The Explorium's interactive exhibits, offering insights into the remarkable evolution of the marsh from the Ice Age to the present day.
