BREAKING! Mbale City Woman Stabs Man to Death in Popular Night Club

Mbale City Police are holding a 23-year-old woman in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man during a late-night altercation at Snap Lounge located at Industrial Division.

The suspect, identified as Namboozo Shadia, is alleged to have acted in concert with others to attack Tugonza Zura, also 23, inflicting a stab wound to the stomach that led to his death.

According to Elgon Region Police spokesperson, SP Rogers Taitika, the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, April 30, 2026, at around 4:00AM in one of the clubs within Mbale City.

“The suspect is believed to have connived with others who are still at large. The victim sustained a fatal stab wound during the attack,” Taitika said.

Police have since taken Namboozo into custody at Mbale Central Police Station as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the attack continue.

Meanwhile, a manhunt has been launched for other suspects who reportedly participated in the assault. Authorities say efforts are underway to ensure all those involved are apprehended and brought to justice.
