Gen Bigirwa Moses Claims Anita Among’s Alleged SFC Link Was the Beginning of the Conflict
Public attention has been drawn to serious allegations made by Gen Bigirwa Moses during an appearance on a YouTube channel, where he claimed that Speaker Anita Among may have been involved in efforts to obtain sensitive information from members of the Special Forces Command (SFC) during a campaign period.
According to Gen Bigirwa Moses, who made the remarks during the interview, Anita Among allegedly offered money to some SFC officers in exchange for information concerning meetings involving President Yoweri Museveni. The claims, however, remain unverified and have not been independently confirmed by official authorities.
No public evidence has so far been presented to substantiate the allegations, and neither government authorities nor security agencies have issued formal statements confirming the claims.
Gen Bigirwa’s assertions have since sparked debate over their credibility and potential implications, particularly given the sensitivity surrounding the Special Forces Command, which is tasked with protecting the President and other key national interests.
Security analysts note that if any attempt to bribe or compromise SFC personnel for confidential presidential information were proven, it would represent a serious national security concern. However, in the absence of official investigations or verified documentation, the allegations remain speculative.
Observers have also cautioned against drawing conclusions without credible evidence, noting that claims involving senior public officials and security institutions require thorough verification due to their political and legal implications.
Political commentators argue that if substantiated, such allegations could prompt serious investigations and wider scrutiny. For now, however, the claims remain allegations made during a media appearance and should be treated carefully until supported by verifiable facts.
