Flavia Tumusiime Says Playing The Long Game Is Key To Staying Relevant Beyond The Noise
Flavia Tumusiime opened up about her journey in mainstream media, revealing that she started as early as 14 years old and, now at 38, still finds herself in demand as a speaker and voice of influence.
She emphasized that her longevity comes from playing the “long game,” choosing consistency over chasing short-term attention.
According to her, true relevance isn’t about being part of the daily noise but about maintaining lasting value over time.
“The fact that people still find value in invitingme to speak to their audiences after all these years means that I played the long game. I don’t have to be relevant in the noise now, but I want to consistently be relevant,” she said.
Flavia explained that many people and businesses focus on trending moments—similar to how social media content grabs attention briefly and gets people talking—but that kind of visibility doesn’t always translate into long-term impact.
“Just think about yourself as social media, when scrolling there are things that hook you and you talk about them with colleagues. If you’re a business like that, you’ll get the noise but not the relevance,” she explained.
