Football Night Turns Tragic as NRM Official Collapses, Dies After Everton Equaliser

Lira City – Sadness has engulfed Lira City following the sudden death of Joe Ebong, popularly known as Biggie, who collapsed while watching a Premier League match between Everton and Manchester City at Amazon Pub.

According to eyewitnesses, Manchester City took the lead in the 43rd minute, but Everton equalised in the 68th minute of a game that eventually ended 3–3. It was shortly after the equaliser that Ebong, a known asthma patient, is said to have suffered an attack. “Joe has been asthmatic. It got triggered, his inhaler got done when they tried to puff… He’s our brother and we know his condition,” a close family member said.

Ebong, who was serving as the NRM Chairman, Veterans League, Lira City, died at the scene, and his car remains parked at Amazon Pub as police and relatives manage the aftermath of the tragedy.
