Man kills his biological child amidst a fight with a wife

Bwera Divisional Police are holding a man over allegations of murder on his biological child, which reportedly resulted from a fight with his wife, Faith Kabugho at Mughete trading centre in Kitabu sub-county, Kasese District.

No official statement from Police however, Mr. Kastori Bwambale, the area Local Council I Chairperson, confirmed the incident. He explained that the suspect, Mr. Zalimon Kasande, allegedly had a domestic dispute with his wife at around 01:00 a.m. at Mughete Trading Centre this morning, During the altercation, he reportedly picked up a pounding stick intending to hit his wife, but instead struck the child, who died instantly.

Mr. Kasande, who reportedly attempted to flee and hide at his second home in Kihororo Village, was later arrested and detained while the injured wife is admitted to Nyamathanga Clinic at Mughete Trading Centre. Mr. Kastori speaking…
