SAD! Makerere University Student Found Dead in Her Room
The deceased has been identified as Francisca Amongin from the university’s College of Education and External Studies (CEES).
Francisca Amongin was in her second year and was pursuing a Bachelor of Science with Education degree, majoring in Mathematics and Economics.
Reports indicate that Francisca Amongin’s body was found lifeless in her room in the morning of Saturday.
The body was conveyed to the Mulago mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Guild minister for students’ affairs Owen Nasasira said that Francisca Amongin lived near Full Makerere Gospel Church. She hailed from Ibuje in Apac District, added Nasasira.
He added that it was not yet clear what had ended the life of Amongin.
“It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that I inform you we have lost our dear sister, and colleague, Ms. Amongin Francisca, a second year student at the College of Education and External Studies (CEES) who was pursuing a Bachelor of Science with Education, majoring in Mathematics and Economics. She was residing near the Full Gospel Church, and hailed from Ibuje, Apac District,” announced Nasasira.
“The exact cause of her death has not been revealed, however, further details will be shared as soon as they emerged from the original sources.
“Let us keep Ms. Amongin’s family, friends and classmates in our prayers during this difficult time.”
