Entebbe Airport Operator Dies of Suspected Food Poisoning

Shock and grief engulfed residents of Entebbe Municipality following the sudden death of Farooq Hussein alias Omuswahili who is suspected to have died of food poisoning after having a meal at one of the local restaurants at Entebbe International Airport.

The deceased who was working at Entebbe International Airport as a Truck Driver with Entebbe Airport Cargo Transporters Association died on May 8, 2026.

Before his death, the deceased first developed stomach complications immediately after dining at a local restaurant at Entebbe International Airport, this was followed with excessive vomiting of blood and then collapsed before being rushed to Victoria Medical Center in Entebbe, where he died from a few minutes upon arrival for medication.

Being a devoted Muslim, the deceased was laid to rest on May 9, 2026 at his ancestral home village in Bugiri district.

A reliable source at Entebbe International Airport, told us that the deceased was allegedly poisoned in a meal he took at one of the local restaurants at the Airport Cargo terminal.

Meanwhile, the deceased was buried without conducting a postmortem on his body.
