Anita Among Ally Esther Anyakun Grilled by CMI in Kampala

The former State Minister for Gender and also Woman Member of Parliament for Nakapiripirit District on Thursday experienced uneasy breathing while appearing before the CMI in Kampala over her close ties with the currently troubled Speaker of Parliament, Ms Anita Annet Among.

Ms Anyakun, who has been working closely with Anita Among, was summoned by the CMI as investigations into the alleged illicit enrichment of the former Speaker of Parliament continue.

According to CCTV footage, Ms Anyakun visited the home of Annet Anita Among 167 times in a single month.

Sources told this publication that Esther Anyakun has been a close friend of Anita, and it is believed that her closeness to Anita enabled her to fund relatives for elective positions against other candidates.

It should be noted that the Woman Member of Parliament for Kaabong is a blood sister to Anyakun, while the Youth MP for Northern Uganda is the biological daughter of Mrs Anyakun, and it is believed that the money used in these campaigns came from Anita’s home.

Last week, several media houses reported on alleged witchcraft activities carried out in Nakapiripirit by Ms Esther Anyakun.
