Museveni Probes Pro-Anita Among Minister Who gave Ugx300m per village to secure re-election as MP in the 15th Jan 2026 polls

minister from Teso is being investigated by state house after whistle blowers went through vice president Jessica Alupo and got their petition delivered to Museveni who got bewildered upon reading its contents.

The youthful minister as of that time was still very close to Anita Among and had become so unpopular in the constituency to the extent that he had to spend 300m per village to be able to secure reelection.

He had been minister in a juicy sector where there are many contractors from whom he got a lot of money in kickbacks.

The minister required and indeed invested up to Ugx300m per village to secure a victory both in NRM primaries and general elections combined.

The president wants to confirm if this is indeed true and where exactly this usually poor struggling minister got all that money from.

The minister’s constituency has more than 300 villages and this was huge because each village was saturated with 300m, which left the local residents with no option but to vote back the minister in question.
