Chelsea could loan out first team striker before he’s played a minute for the Blues

With the transfer window now open, it’s the time for everyone to publish their “keep, sell, loan” pieces about Chelsea’s current squad.

Bobby Vincent just did one for Football.London, and his list of players to be loaned out makes for interesting reading. It’s a real rag tag bunch.

Dario Essugo, Josh Acheampong, Shim Mheuka and Emmanuel Emegha are his choices to be loaned out next season.

Chelsea’s loan list shows messed up squad situation

It’s a list which shows what a weird position Chelsea’s squad are in now, especially with no European football to keep people happy next season.

That’s two academy kids who aren’t getting enough minutes, a player signed for the first team last summer who missed almost the whole campaign injured, and a player signed in September who won’t arrive until this summer.

The whole thing is a mess – each of these guys has been mis-managed to some degree. Emegha especially – imagine signing a player to arrive 12 months later then ending up loaning him out anyway.
