The Appointments Committee wrapped up its vetting of ministerial nominees, setting the stage for the formation of a new cabinet. One of the presidential nominees for ministerial jobs has failed to make it through the vetting process of parliament, while three others have denounced their foreign citizenship. Sources indicated that the Appointments Committee of Parliament was not satisfied with the nomination of Dr. Lawrence Muganga, who was appointed Minister of State for Internal Affairs. Muganga is one of the individuals claimed to hold dual citizenship, yet the laws limit the holders from becoming ministers.
