Update: Three Bodies Retrieved from Collapsed Building in Kisaasi
Three bodies have been retrieved from the site of a collapsed building in Kisaasi, Kampala, according to the latest update from police. The incident occurred yesterday, during which nine people were initially rescued alive from the rubble.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Rachael Kawala confirmed that the three deceased are all adult males. Two have been identified as Kivumbi Jonathan and a man only known as James, also referred to as “Rasta.” The identity of the third victim is still pending official confirmation.
The bodies have been transported to Mulago National Referral Hospital for postmortem examination. Police say further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
