Lukwago Warns of “Tough Week Ahead” as Military Witnesses Set to Testify in Besigye Treason Case
The legal team of opposition figure Dr. Kizza Besigye has signalled a heightened phase in the ongoing treason proceedings, with his lawyer and former Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago warning of an intensified prosecution strategy expected this week.
In a statement shared on social media, Lukwago said the State is preparing to present senior military officials and additional witnesses in the high-profile case, describing the coming days as particularly demanding for the defence team.
