Former Government Chief Whip Hamson Obua has officially handed over office, marking the end of his tenure in one of Uganda’s key parliamentary coordination roles, while pledging continued loyalty and service to government.

In a statement issued after the transition, Obua said he “stood with humility” as he transferred the baton to Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, represented at the handover by Minister Hilary Onek.
