WEST HAM have announced the departure of ten players following their drop to the second division.

The Hammers are in a tricky situation as they head to the Championship, and will look to recoup as much as possible back in player sales.

Adama Traore will leave after just months at the club

But they won’t be able to do that with Premier League legend Adama Traore, following the announcement that he will be leaving the club.

The former Spain international joined the relegation-threatened club from Fulham in January on a deal until the end of the season.

He primarily featured as an impact sub, though any impact he ended up having was not enough to save them from the drop.

Now he is back on the market, after an agreement between the parties could not be made.

Traore has 271 appearances in the league between spells with West Ham, Fulham, Wolves and Aston Villa.

Also out the door is veteran goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, who initially left under similar circumstances this time last season.

He was re-signed as a third option between the sticks just months later to fill in for the departing Wes Foderingham.

The former Arsenal stopper initially joined the club from Swansea City in 2018.

Club servant Lukasz Fabianski will also be making his exit

He went on to make over 215 appearances in claret and blue across his eight-year stint, battling for position with Alphonse Areola in recent seasons.

Axel Disasi‘s stay was more fleeting, but he will be returning to Chelsea following the end of his loan spell.

He arrived in January and quickly became integral to Nuno Espirito Santo‘s defence alongside Konstantinos Mavropanos.

The trio will also be joined in their exits by a number of youth prospects.

Northern Ireland senior international Michael Forbes will not extend his six-year stay in the side’s youth system, and neither will Junior Robinson, who spent the season on loan with Boreham Wood in the National League.

Tyron Akpata, Daniel Rigge, David Chigwada, Tom Wooster and Jonathan Unwin are all also leaving the club.
