Kisoro MP Hopeful Calls on Youth to Harness Talent for Employment Solutions

Emmanuel Maniraguha, a hopeful member of Parliament for Kisoro Municipality in 2026, has urged the youth to focus on talent development as a key strategy to combat the country’s high unemployment rate.
This message was delivered on Sunday, September 22, 2024, during the launch of the Kisoro Municipality Football Talent Development program at Shaza Grounds.
Emmanuel emphasized the importance of developing sports talents, highlighting how it improves job prospects, enhances professional networking, and fosters entrepreneurship and innovation, all of which can help reduce unemployment. He noted that sports also promote cardiovascular health, increase strength, and enhance endurance and stamina, supporting overall well-being.
Ramanthan Ndikuyeze, Vice Chairperson of the National Resistance Movement in Kisoro District, acknowledged the pivotal role of sports in shaping the future generation. He added that activities like football and netball help the youth effectively utilize their leisure time. He commended Emmanuel Maniraguha for his contributions to talent development.
Kayihura Fransisca, known as Mama Marion, revealed that Kisoro District is home to many talented footballers, netball players, and athletes, but there is a need for further development to reach international levels. She urged the residents of Kisoro Municipality to support Emmanuel Maniraguha in 2026 due to his exceptional abilities.
During the talent development launch, Emmanuel Maniraguha provided sports equipment, including jerseys and first aid kits, to all 14 wards in Kisoro Municipality.
