I Won’t Kneel Before M7’s Son! Erias Lukwago’s wife Roars Defiantly and Declares Gen MK Heartless as His Kids Choke on Anger, Vow Revenge

The wife of persecuted Dr. Kizza Besigye’s defence lawyer Erias Lukwago has vowed not to relent but to go down fighting as opposed to bending a knee in order to plead and secure lenient treatment for her husband.

The Nalongo on Tuesday told Kabaka’s BBS Terefayina TV that she is doubtful if Gen MK is a parent with children. She asserted that a parent with children would have acted more compassionately from the way Gen MK depicted himself in the way he kept releasing photos of a subdued Erias Lukwago, who hundreds of PLU supporters spent much of Monday mocking, name-calling and humiliating on social media.

The Nalongo, who sometimes attends prayers at Pastor Tom Mugerwa’s church, revealed that she had turned to prayers and spent the whole of Monday night interceding on Lukwago’s behalf. She predicted that God will see her husband through the ongoing torture and dehumanizing treatment at the hands of Gen MK’s men who dramatically picked him from his Wakaliga home Monday morning as he joined his family to have breakfast.

The Nalongo also revealed that, instead of being bowed, her children had become so angry and are increasingly getting radicalized, while calling on the God of Justice for revenge, over the humiliation with which Gen MK treated their dad who they are convinced is innocent and didn’t do anything wrong. She said that the children’s resolve had motivated her to remain firm while praying for God’s protection upon the Lord Mayor.

She made it clear that she wasn’t prepared to go kneel before Gen MK begging for Lukwago’s freedom because the Ugandan Constitution declares all citizens equal and no one is above the law. Not even the President’s son or CDF.

She said that working with a large team of lawyers, headed by Lukwago’s law firm workmate Medard Segona, she was determined to use the avenue of Courts of law to overcome the violence and trauma the President’s son has so far visited upon the entire family. She thanked the media for standing with the family and also the almighty God for continuing to signal her that Erias Lukwago will finally be a free man once again.

She also discussed the frail state in which his health is. She explained that Lukwago has been on regular medication yet his medicines’ box was left behind since his captors never allowed him to carry anything with him.

She added that even feeding, he has for sometime been on a certain diet as was prescribed by his medical teams within Uganda and outside. She maintained that Gen MK will forever be personally held responsible in case something fatal happens to her husband during and after captivity.

In a related development, defence counsel Segona says that the Museveni government will be responsible wherever and whenever anything ever happens to his client. He says that the health problems for Erias Lukwago, who had always been a vibrant and healthy-looking bubbly personality, started a few years ago when security agents fractured his back during a violent arrest at the Wandegeya traffic lights.

Many Ugandans, including sane PLU supporters, have directly appealed to Gen MK to let Lukwago go on the account of frail health. In the alternative, Erias Lukwago (who veteran journalist Siraje Lubwama says could be added onto the Besigye file and becomes a co-accused) should be arraigned before a Court of law and be formally charged so that his due process-related rights can be observed as is prescribed under the Ugandan Constitution.
