senior leader in the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), David Kabanda, has explained why the organization pays close attention to opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, describing him as the country's most significant opposition figure.

Speaking during a media interview, Kabanda said Kyagulanyi commands considerable political influence and remains the opposition politician who has attracted the largest electoral support against President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in recent history.

According to Kabanda, Kyagulanyi's political strength makes him a key player in Uganda's political landscape and explains why leaders within PLU frequently discuss him and his activities.

"We give him respect because he is the main opposition figure in the country," Kabanda said during the interview.
