Sniper! VP Alupo ‘Neutralises Invading Enemy’ During Cabinet Retreat Shootout In Kyankwanzi
Ministers attending the cabinet retreat at the National Leadership Institute-Kyankwanzi are yet to come to terms with the way Vice President Maj. Jessica Alupo proved to be a sniper of sorts!
The lady from Katakwi, despite decades of retirement from active combat, mesmerized her colleagues and military officers after she hit the target several times using the AK47 rifle.
The country’s 2iC, carried a small but black battle mattress to the shooting site, laid herself down properly and spent about five seconds aiming at the target which was about 100meters away.
Prior to this, she showed skills of how to dismantle and assemble the rifle, and act necessary in combat times.
“When you remove the magazine box from the gun, you render it useless because there won’t be a bullet going to the chamber. The enemy can’t fire” she demonstrated, as she placed the magazine box back on the weapon.
Alupo ensured that at the time of aiming at the target, not even an invading ant could drive her attention away from the target. She lay firm on the ground, closed one of her eyes, and held her breath for seconds, emphasizing the level of concentration and determination she had to eliminate the ‘aduuyi!
Convinced that she had the ‘enemy’ on a proper target, the Vice President who had already opened cocked the rifle having opened the safety catch, released her first bullet! She fired about five bullets and upon examination of the target; Alupo got the enemy on both lower and upper body parts. Two bullets got the ‘enemy’ by his legs; meaning she had disabled the enemy from fleeing, while the other three bullets got ‘him’ on his chest, and head implying total obliteration!
“By shooting the legs, it means the rifle was not properly raised. That means the enemy could still be dangerous, and was capable of firing at you or even put you out of action. We assume that a soldier’s survival entirely depends in (his) actual fighting (to the end) and not fleeing or surrendering. That’s why we always emphasize total neutralization. ” a range officer explained to the VP.
Shortly, Alupo could be seen studying the ‘bullet wounds’ inflicted on the ‘enemy’ and she appeared convinced that her combat skills were still intact.
Inspectors said the VP became the talk of the retreat as other ministers missed the target completely while others feared the exercise. One of the flamboyant ministers from Bugisu claimed his spects were the problem, causing rib-breaking laughter among colleagues. Well, enjoy the pictures of the VP showcasing her skill
