Ugandan Asylum Seeker Dies in Germany as Efforts to Trace His Family Begin

Following his death, members of the Ugandan community have launched an appeal to trace his immediate family or relatives in Uganda, saying social services in Germany do not have their contact details.

The Ugandan community in Germany is mourning the death of one of its members, Frank Ssenyonga, a 23-year-old Ugandan national who passed away in Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany.

According to a death announcement shared by the Buganda Committee in Germany – Munich, Frank was born on January 1, 2002, and had been residing in asylum accommodation in Fürstenfeldbruck before his passing. The circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation.

Community leaders described Frank as a kind, respectful, and hardworking young man whose life touched many people.

Following his death, members of the Ugandan community have launched an appeal to trace his immediate family or relatives in Uganda, saying social services in Germany do not have their contact details.

“We are kindly asking anyone who knows Frank or his family and relatives in Uganda to help us get in touch with them,” the appeal states. “Please share this message widely so it can reach his loved ones back home.”

The community hopes that locating Frank’s family will provide them with the opportunity to receive the news officially and make the necessary arrangements during this difficult time.

Anyone with information about Frank Ssenyonga’s relatives is encouraged to contact the Buganda Committee in Germany – Munich or members of the Ugandan community in Germany.
