Gerald Kiweewa mourns the passing of his wife

Renowned Kadongo Kamu singer Gerald Kiweewa announced the heartbreaking news of the passing of his wife, who died on Monday night.

The veteran singer shared the devastating news while fulfilling a performance commitment at Jovial City Hangout in Makindye, explaining that although he would have preferred to be home mourning with his family, he had already been booked for the show.The mother of my eldest children has passed away. Our firstborn is Jemba Joseph, followed by Nalinya and Nakiweewa. I should have been home mourning her, but I had already committed to performing here today.

Kiweewa went on to reflect on their long journey together, revealing that they started their family at a very young age.

A vigil was held at the home of their firstborn son, Jemba, in Akright.

By the time Kiweewa announced the sad news, the family had not yet finalized the funeral program. Burial and funeral arrangements are expected to be communicated after a family meeting
