Senior Manager Dies days wedding mysteriously

What was meant to be one of the happiest years of his life has instead ended in unimaginable heartbreak.

Friends and family are struggling to come to terms with the sudden death of Kevin Masaba, a young father whose wedding ceremony had already been scheduled for October 31, 2026. Instead of counting down the days to celebrate love, his loved ones are now preparing to say their final goodbye.

According to his close friend, Brian Erimah, Kevin showed no signs that anything was wrong before the tragic incident. He had reportedly gone about his normal routine and was in good spirits when he left work on Friday, July 3.

Brian recalled that at around 8:00 p.m., Kevin was waiting at a bus stage to board a matatu after work when tragedy struck without warning.

“He never complained of feeling sick or showed any signs of illness. While waiting at the bus park, he suddenly collapsed. People nearby rushed to help and desperately tried to resuscitate him before taking him to the hospital, but sadly doctors pronounced him dead on arrival,” Brian said.

The shocking news spread quickly, leaving colleagues, relatives and friends devastated. Many described Kevin as a hardworking, humble and caring man who always put his family first.

Kevin leaves behind his fiancée, Elizabeth Akinyi, and their two children. The couple had already shared beautiful wedding invitation cards featuring their smiling photographs, inviting family and friends to witness the official celebration of their union at St. Monica Catholic Church in Kitengela.

The invitation carried a heartfelt message:

“We are grateful for your presence and support as we celebrate love, unity and family.”

Sadly, the celebration they had eagerly anticipated will never take place.

Those close to the family explained that Kevin and Elizabeth had already built a family together, and the October ceremony was meant to officially solemnize their marriage in the presence of loved ones.

As the family grapples with the painful loss, they are still searching for answers. The exact cause of Kevin’s sudden death remains unknown, and they are awaiting the results of a postmortem examination scheduled for Thursday. Burial arrangements have not yet been announced as relatives continue consulting and seeking support from friends and well-wishers to give him a dignified farewell.

The heartbreaking incident has left many reflecting on how unpredictable life can be. A man who was making plans for his future, his family and his wedding is now being remembered through tears instead of joyful celebrations.
