Kyaddondo edged Buddu 1–0 in a tightly contested match to secure three crucial points in their campaign.

Kyaddondo scored the decisive goal in the first half before holding on to their lead after the break, with neither side able to find the net despite several attempts.

The defeat was a setback for Buddu, who were playing in front of their home supporters, but the team remains confident about its chances of progressing to the next stage.

Buddu head coach Eric Kisuze admitted that the result was disappointing but said the team would work on the weaknesses exposed during the match.

Kisuze said the focus was now on correcting their mistakes and collecting maximum points in their next fixture, acknowledging that losing at home was not the result they wanted.

Buddu's Champion of the Match, Enoch Ssekattawa, also remained optimistic despite the defeat. He said the team had initially targeted a point from the game but believes they can still recover and qualify from the group.

Meanwhile, the Pokiino of Buddu, Jude Muleke, played down the significance of Kyaddondo's victory, insisting that Buddu remain in a strong position.

Muleke praised the players for the quality of football they displayed and urged them to maintain discipline both on and off the pitch.

For Kyaddondo, goalkeeper and Man of the Match Ashiraf Bwabe was delighted with the victory and expressed confidence that the team can go all the way to the finals.

Bwabe appealed to Kyaddondo supporters to continue giving the team their full backing.

The victory was particularly significant for Bwabe, who hails from Buddu. He said he had been confident that Kyaddondo would return home with all three points.

Buddu will now turn their attention to their next match against Busujju as they seek to bounce back with a victory.
