Kind Heart! Minister Nameere Pledges $10,000 to Fired TikToker Benitah, Promises Her New Job

Junior Local Government Minister Justine Nameere has offered $10,000 to Ugandan TikToker Benita Nakabugo, popularly known as Benitah256MadamViolence, after she reportedly lost her job in Bahrain following a political backlash.

Nakabugo, who has more than 1.2 million TikTok followers, came under fire after making comments supporting President Yoweri Museveni and criticizing supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) following the 2026 presidential election.Opposition supporters reportedly flooded her former employer, The Matcha Space, with complaints and negative reviews over her political views, after which Nakabugo announced that she had lost her job.Nameere condemned what she described as threats, blackmail and intimidation against the TikToker, saying she has a constitutional right to express her political opinions.

The minister said she had instructed her bank and personal assistant to obtain Nakabugo’s account details so she could send her $10,000 in financial assistance.She also promised to help Nakabugo secure another job if her former employer decides not to retain her.“If they carry on employing her, we shall be grateful. If, however, they choose to let her go, we shall get her another job,” Nameere said.Nakabugo has since appealed to people involved in the controversy to stop contacting her former employer. The Matcha Space has not publicly explained the circumstances surrounding the end of her employment.
