NRM Promises Fat Job, Monthly Salary, Security and New Car for TikToker Benita

Presidential Assistant on Service Delivery Mr. Yiga Kisakyamukam has said TikToker Benita will soon receive a job similar to the one she was doing overseas, with a monthly salary of at least Shs3 million, alongside additional allowances.

Yiga made the remarks while speaking about efforts to support the young woman, whose situation has recently attracted public attention and sparked debate on social media.

According to Yiga, arrangements are already underway to ensure that Benita returns to a stable livelihood after her experiences abroad. He said the proposed employment will provide her with a salary of not less than Shs3 million per month, in addition to allowances that would come with the position.

“She is going to get the exact job she was doing overseas, with a salary of not less than UGX 3 million per month, plus some allowances,” Yiga said.

He further revealed that Benita is expected to meet President Yoweri Museveni soon, although he did not provide details about the date, venue or circumstances of the anticipated meeting.

Yiga also announced a personal gesture of support, saying he intends to give Benita a brand-new vehicle.

“Personally, I am going to gift her a brand-new car soon. We are going to ensure that she lives the best life of her dreams,” he said.

The statements have placed renewed attention on Benita’s circumstances and the wider debate surrounding the intervention by Minister Justine Nameere, who has been involved in efforts to help the young woman.

Nameere’s involvement had reportedly attracted criticism from some sections of the public, with social media users questioning why a government official had taken an interest in Benita’s situation.

Yiga, however, defended the minister and questioned the criticism directed at her.

“I wonder why people were abusing Minister Nameere; what mistake did she make by coming out to help a helpless young woman?” he said, describing the backlash as unfortunate.

The remarks underline the growing role of public officials and personalities in responding to cases involving Ugandans who find themselves in difficult circumstances, particularly when such cases gain significant attention online.

Benita’s story has also highlighted the challenges faced by Ugandans seeking employment opportunities abroad and the uncertainty that can arise when such arrangements do not work out as expected.

While Yiga has announced plans for employment, allowances and a vehicle, details about the prospective employer, the specific position, the source of the salary and the timing of the appointment have not been publicly disclosed.

Similarly, no official details have yet been provided regarding Benita’s expected meeting with the President.
