Historic Busoga Palace Faces Demolition As 30 Claimants Sue Kyabazinga
The historic Igenge Hill Palace in Jinja North City Division, the official residence of the Kyabazinga of Busoga, is at the center of a legal battle that threatens its future.Thirty individuals have filed a lawsuit against Kyabazinga William Nadiope IV, claiming ownership of the land on which the multi-billion-shilling palace stands.The High Court in Kampala is now tasked with resolving the dispute, which could lead to the eviction of the Kyabazinga and the demolition of the palace if the claimants prevail.
