Good News Finally for all Besigye's Supporters As His Wife issues Report on His Health From Prison

Supporters of opposition leader Dr. Kizza Besigye have received encouraging news after his wife, Winnie Byanyima, provided a positive health update following her visit to Luzira Prison.
Byanyima, who visited Besigye along with Haji Obeid Lutale, shared that both detainees were in “good spirits” despite their imprisonment.
“I was relieved to see @kizzabesigye1 able to walk and talk with his visitors,” she stated, easing concerns over his well-being.
Besigye, a longtime critic of President Yoweri Museveni’s government, has faced numerous arrests over the past two decades.
Byanyima expressed frustration over his continued detention, emphasizing that after 20 years of faithfully appearing in court for various charges, there is no justification for denying him bail.
“A judge must hear his application and end this injustice. Enough is enough!” she declared.
Her remarks have reignited calls for Besigye’s release, with supporters demanding judicial fairness. Many Ugandans argue that his prolonged legal battles are politically motivated, designed to suppress dissent.
The update on Besigye’s health has provided a sense of relief for his followers, but the demand for his freedom remains urgent.
With pressure mounting, all eyes are now on the judiciary to determine whether his bail application will finally be heard.
