Elijah Kitaka Clears the Air on His Sexuality and Fashion Choices

Elijah Kitaka is no stranger to making bold fashion statements. Known for his unique style, which includes cut and torn clothes, nose pins, and striking jewellery, Kitaka’s appearance has sparked speculation about his sexuality.

However, the artist has set the record straight—he identifies as straight and considers himself a “ladies’ man.”

Speaking about his fashion choices, Kitaka emphasised that his style is deeply rooted in African heritage rather than being a statement about his sexuality.

“We are Africans, and the Whites found us when we didn’t wear clothes. I dress like this because I’m a proper African, and all these things are for Africans. Recently, I was in Dar es Salaam and bought all this jewelry because I’m attached to culture as a person,” he explained.

Beyond personal expression, Kitaka has bigger ambitions in the fashion world. He dreams of launching his own fashion line that fuses African cultural elements with Western influences.

“I am comfortable and confident. Having a nose pin is how I feel, and it’s nothing sexual. It’s just the looks—this is my identity,” he stated.
