"I'm Going To Arrest Him Very Soon" Muhoozi Threatens DRC Governor After Claims Of Doing This

Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, made a statement on his official X account targeting a governor in Ituri province, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
He described the governor as "a very STUPID governor" who has been opposing the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) operations in Ituri from the beginning.
General Muhoozi stated that they were going to arrest the governor soon and directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to carry out the arrest by the following week. He further added that they would later decide whether to kill the governor or not.
The UPDF has been conducting joint military operations in eastern DRC, aimed at fighting armed groups in the region.
However, local authorities in Ituri have expressed resistance to UPDF operations, leading to tensions between Uganda and the DRC.
General Muhoozi’s statement reflects ongoing disagreements regarding military presence and jurisdiction in the area.
The remarks have sparked reactions regarding Uganda’s foreign relations with the DRC and the approach of its military leadership.
The statement also raises questions about the legality of such actions and the implications for regional stability, governance, and human rights in the affected areas
