NUP Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya reveals his favorite Ugandan musicians

Even political heavyweights have their personal playlists, and for National Unity Platform (NUP) Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya, music holds a special place.

In an interview, Rubongoya named some of his favorite Ugandan musicians, showing that even amidst political responsibilities, there’s always room for good music.

There are a lot of musicians I like, but for the best male singer I’ll choose our president, Bobi Wine, and I love all his songs.

He identified his admiration for Bobi Wine’s entire musical journey, not just the recent politically-charged anthems.

I love his older ‘edutainment’ music too; songs like Akalimu, Tugambile Ku Jennifer, Akagoma, and many others.

But Rubongoya’s musical taste isn’t limited to the NUP leader. He also mentioned a variety of other Ugandan artists he enjoys listening to.

Of course, I like other musicians like King Saha, Kabako, Nubian Li, and others.

When it comes to female artists, Rubongoya praised several as well.

I like Spice Diana, Nina Roz, Irene Namatovu, and I also enjoy gospel music.
