Kataleya and Kandle break silence on challenges faced in music industry

Renowned Ugandan singing female duo Kataleya and Kandle has opened up about some of the challenges they encountered in their music journey that spans four years.

Speaking in an interview, the duo expressed their disappointment with some of the stakeholders in showbiz who wanted to frustrate their career.

Kataleya stated that they learned of some individuals who were willing and went on to pay media personalities not to play their music in a way trying to put them down.

“The challenge we faced was that people could pay some media personalities not to play our music and wanted to see us go down”

Kandle also shared that the hugest challenge she recalls they ever faced is when they went through a rough patch of their career when they parted ways with their former management team, Throne Music.

The break away from Throne Music, saw the duo go mute musically for a period of about seven months and only resumed their journey in June 2024 under manager Ray Pan promotions
