Herbert Matovu Triumphs in Spectacular TKO Victory

Ugandan heavyweight boxing sensation Herbert Matovu commonly known as black Bomba, under the management and promotion of Nara Promotionz, delivered a commanding performance on May 24, 2025, securing a Technical Knockout (TKO) victory against Japan’s Mitsuro Brandon Tajima in a scheduled 8-round bout.
The fight, held before an electrified international audience, saw Matovu’s power and precision overwhelm his opponent, forcing a stoppage and marking yet another milestone in the rising star’s professional journey.
“The fight was good; we managed to scoop a win. We are aiming at higher rankings and I’m looking forward to ranking in the first 10 boxers in the world” Matovu stated.
He added, “I urge everyone in Uganda including promoters, managers and other leaders that they should improve the sector through licensing, for instance after the fight in Japan I was licensed and just imagine we have been paying for licenses here in Uganda from way back but no one has a license”
