NRM Electoral Commission Introduces Mobile Money Option for Aspirants

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission has officially issued a circular outlining the nomination and expression of interest fees for aspirants ahead of the 2025 internal party elections.
The directive comes with two payment options bank deposit or mobile money aimed at simplifying the remittance process for candidates across the country.
According to the circular released this week, all aspirants must present proof of payment — either a bank deposit slip or a mobile money transaction ID to the designated Presiding Officer (Commissioner or Registrar) during the nomination process.
The EC urged all candidates to retain their transaction IDs as confirmation of payment, emphasising that no candidate will be nominated without verified proof.
