“Spy for Pay” Hajjat Namyalo Exposes Frank Gashumba, Says He’s Paid Sh3M to Discourage Regime Change

A fierce political storm has erupted between NRM’s top mobiliser Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo and controversial political analyst Frank Gashumba after the two publicly clashed, exposing what many are calling a betrayal of trust and ideology. In a heated back-and-forth that has taken social media by storm, Hajjat Namyalo has accused Gashumba of being a paid regime mouthpiece, claiming he secretly receives Shs3 million per appearance to discourage Ugandans from pushing for regime change.
According to Namyalo, the money is intended to influence Gashumba’s commentary on major talk shows where he often appears as an independent voice.
“He is not what he claims to be. Every time he says on air that 'changing government is not easy' or that 'Museveni still has a role to play,' just know he has already picked Shs3 million from his handlers,” Namyalo charged.
She went further to release what she described as receipts and proof of payments, alleging that Gashumba is on a routine payroll to manipulate public opinion under the guise of political analysis.
The fallout comes after weeks of tension between the two, with Gashumba repeatedly accusing Namyalo of incompetence and misuse of public funds in her role as Office of the National Chairman (ONC) boss.
He even dismissed her influence within the party, saying she’s nothing more than a figurehead who thrives on patronage.
But Namyalo hit back harder, branding Gashumba a “fake revolutionary who is eating from the same system he claims to fight.”
She added that while she is on the frontline of mobilizing for President Museveni, Gashumba is using his platforms to confuse youth and demoralize opposition sympathizers by preaching fear and hopelessness.
The revelations have sent shockwaves across the political sphere, with some calling for an investigation into Gashumba’s dealings.
Others believe Namyalo’s attack is a calculated move to silence critics within NRM circles as internal succession battles quietly simmer.
Neither Gashumba nor his known associates have officially responded to the explosive claims, though sources close to him say he is preparing a hard-hitting rebuttal
