IUEA Opens Admissions for August 2025 Intake, Announces Scholarships for Top UACE Performers

The International University of East Africa (IUEA) has officially opened admissions for its August 2025 Intake, offering a fresh academic chapter for students across Uganda and the region.
In a move to promote merit and equity, the university also launched a new scholarship initiative aimed at top-performing candidates from the 2024 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations.
Speaking at the official launch ceremony, IUEA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Emeka Akaezuwa underscored the institution’s mission to provide quality, innovative, and future-focused education.
“We are thrilled to open the doors for our August 2025 Intake and even more proud to introduce scholarship opportunities for the best-performing UACE candidates,” Prof. Akaezuwa said. “At IUEA, we remain committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers by ensuring that no talented student is left behind, regardless of their background.”
The merit-based scholarships aim to reduce financial barriers for high-achieving students and create greater access to quality higher education. The university positions this initiative as part of a broader commitment to equity, innovation, and inclusive academic excellence.
Naomy Kemboi, Head of Marketing at IUEA, emphasized the institution’s resolve to bridge opportunity gaps and empower future leaders.
“At IUEA, we believe education should be accessible, practical, and future-ready—regardless of one’s background or circumstance,” she noted. “These scholarships are part of our way of investing in a future shaped by the very students we support today.”
IUEA continues to stand out as a centre of diversity, technological advancement, and academic rigor. With a wide portfolio of programs offered both on-campus and online—including Engineering, ICT, Business, Law, and Humanities—the university responds to the evolving needs of today’s learners and the global job market.
Whether enrolled physically or remotely, students benefit from a supportive ecosystem of mentorship, digital tools, and industry-aligned learning that prepares them to compete and lead in the 21st-century economy.
In his closing remarks, Prof. Akaezuwa encouraged prospective students to take full advantage of the opportunities available.
