Bebe Cool Breaks Silence on Zuena, Mowzey Radio Rumors and Marriage Challenges
Ugandan music icon Bebe Cool shared deeply personal reflections about his enduring marriage with Zuena Kirema during the final day of the 2025 Bride and Groom Expo, offering fans and attendees a rare, emotional glimpse into their love story. The singer addressed long-standing rumors linking Zuena to the late fellow artist Mowzey Radio, and used the platform to clear the air while also celebrating the strength of their relationship through decades of both public scrutiny and private trials.
Bebe Cool candidly revealed the emotional toll their union has taken over the years, particularly due to external pressures and harsh criticism.
“I have been abused and hated because of my wife Zuena,” he said. “There were so many people who wanted to date her.
They even paid bloggers to abuse me just because I took this beautiful girl. But for me, if I love, I love.”
He further disclosed how the constant public attention and unwanted male advances toward Zuena pushed him to make a difficult decision: asking her to stay at home to protect their marriage and family. “Men were always trying to hit on her, so I couldn’t stand the pressure,” he admitted.
Despite the challenges, Bebe Cool described their love as unshaken, emphasizing that real commitment involves making tough choices and standing firm in love regardless of the storms.
His remarks were met with applause, with many praising his honesty and emotional vulnerability — traits rarely shown in Uganda’s celebrity circles.
The moment not only reaffirmed Bebe Cool’s love for Zuena but also sparked broader conversations about fame, loyalty, and the sacrifices behind high-profile relationships
