Sammy Okanya appeals for more financial aid to cover surgery costs

Comedian Sammy Okanya of the Mighty Family has appealed to fellow creatives and content creators for financial assistance in his battle with chronic illness.
The vocal and outspoken comedian appealed for help from well-wishers as he is set to undergo surgery on his private parts since he is having difficulties when it comes to urinating.
Speaking in an interview on Sanyuka TV, he explained that he reached out to artists such as Hon. Geofrey Lutaaya, Dr. Hilderman, Eddy Kenzo, and Bebe Cool, among others.
Some have been able to come to his rescue, with Eddy Kenzo supporting him with Shs 2m, and Bebe Cool sent a doctor who confirmed his illness and suggested that he needs surgery.
Others, however, just blue-ticked his message, and he has yet to receive any response from them.
Sammy Okanya narrates that he was recommended to be checked at Uro-Care Hospital in Nansana, revealing that he was slapped with a bill of Shs8m, which he needs to have a successful surgery.
He also explained why he left the UPDF Hospital in Bombo, claiming he had no one taking care of him, and the place was too far for his relatives to reach him.
At the moment, Sammy is receiving treatment from Mulago Hospital under the care of a special urologist as he waits to undergo BMG surgery.
He criticized NUP for not helping him treat his illness, but thanked them for the first treatment they extended to him when they paid the bills for his treatment in Wandegeya, and officially declared that they had stretched enough of their supporting arm.
Sammy regrets not following his wife’s advice when she stopped him from taking part in active politics, but he did the contrary after his liver treatment.
