Search intensifies for missing dancer Virginia, last seen in Kitende.

The dance fraternity in Uganda has united in search of their missing comrade, Vanessa Namanja, also known as Virginia.

Virginia, 22, who is one half of the dance duo Mayani and Virginia, is said to have disappeared from her parents’ home last week.

Speaking to Mbu, her dance partner Mayanni revealed that he last saw her on Tuesday, 21st October 2025, in the afternoon. He was shocked to receive the news of her disappearance the next day.

“I last saw Virginia last week on Tuesday afternoon at around 1 pm. On Wednesday, her best friend called and told me that she had run away from home and her mom was looking for her,” Mayanni revealed.

Virginia has been spotted by different people in different areas, including Kamwokya on Tuesday and Kitende on Wednesday.

Virginia’s family, friends, and fellow dancers have since begun a search to find her, and they ask anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact +256772840213.

I last saw Virginia last week on Tuesday afternoon at around 1 pm. On Wednesday, her best friend called and told me that she had run away from home and her mom was looking for her. She had not been seen until this Tuesday, when we were told that they saw her around Acacia Mall in Kamwokya.

On Wednesday, we were again told that she was seen around Stabex Fuel Station in Kitende in a Ragius. That’s the last time we heard about her. Vanessa is a 22-year-old, light-skinned female with long dreads. She was last seen wearing a hoodie.
