NRM leaders condemn forcing students to attend campaign rallies
NRM party leaders have condemned the act of some NRM members forcing students from schools to attend campaign rallies organized by the party’s presidential candidate, Yoweri Museveni, in different parts of the country.
Rose Namayanja, the party’s Deputy Secretary General, said that since the NRM has mass support, it is wrong to mobilize and ferry school children to Museveni’s campaign rallies. Namayanja also condemned acts of violence committed by NRM supporters against National Unity Platform supporters.
The latest incident occurred in Kiruhura District.
