FIFA Referee Shamirah Nabadda, Leila Nankya (Guest management), Dixon Adol Okello, Hajji Jamil Ssewanyana (both safety and security), Richard Ssemanda (Protocol) and Sadam Bulega (Branding) are confirmed for different appointments at AFCON 2025 in Morocco.

Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed the appointment of six different Ugandans for several roles at the highly anticipated AFCON 2025 in Morocco.

The appointed personalities will serve in the dockets of refereeing, guest management, branding, protocol as well as safety and security.

FIFA Referee Shamirah Nabadda is among the confirmed referees to officiate at the championship.


Leila Nankya is in the guest management (hospitality docket). Seasoned Safety and security guru Dixon Adol Okello will work alongside Hajji Jamil Ssewanyana.

Richard Ssemanda and Sadam Bulega are the other two Ugandans ready for service in the protocol and branding dockets respectively.

The tournament officially kicks off on Sunday, 21st December 2025 when hosts Morocco take on Comoros in a Group A contest at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium in Rabat city.

Uganda Cranes will swing into action on Tuesday, 23rd December 2025 against North Africans Tunisia (11 PM) at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium (Rabat) in group C.

Nigeria will have played East Africans Tanzania in the early kick off at 8:30 PM.
