Horror in Kampala!! Two Burundian Nationals Murdered in Cold Blood

On the night of 16th December 2025, the quiet of Kisenyi III Parish in Kampala was shattered by a shocking and violent double murder. At around 11:00 pm, a 30-year-old Burundian man, identified as Emma alias “Young,” went on a killing spree, attacking two fellow Burundian nationals in the same area. The tragic events have left the community in disbelief, as the brutal nature of the crime continues to shock those who witnessed the aftermath.

The first victim, also a Burundian national, was reportedly attacked while returning home from his work as a hawker. As he made his way through the streets, the suspect ambushed him and slashed his neck, killing him instantly. The violence was so sudden and unexpected that no one could intervene in time to save the man’s life. The suspect didn’t stop there, however; his actions grew even more chilling as he moved on to the next target.

About 300 meters from the scene of the first murder, the suspect arrived at the residence of his second victim. The second man, a young adult believed to be around 20 years old, was asleep at the time. Without warning, the suspect attacked him in his sleep, also slashing his neck and causing immediate death. It was a horrifying, senseless act that took the lives of two individuals in the space of a few minutes.

After carrying out the murders, Emma, the suspect, reportedly turned the knife on himself in a desperate attempt to end his own life. He inflicted serious injuries to his neck, leaving himself in critical condition. However, members of the public managed to restrain him before he could do further harm and alerted the Police. The authorities quickly responded and rushed the suspect to Mulago Hospital, where he is currently receiving medical care under Police guard.

In the wake of the horrific attacks, the Police visited both crime scenes and documented the evidence. Two knives believed to have been used in the killings were recovered from the scenes. Witnesses have provided statements to the authorities, and the bodies of the victims have been taken for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death and confirm their identities.

While the investigations continue, the Police are working hard to identify the victims and locate their next of kin.
