Security Agencies Recover Six-Year-Old Kidnap Victim in Wakiso.

Security agencies have successfully rescued a six-year-old boy who was allegedly kidnapped last week in Kampala.

The child, identified as Mpirwe Tumwesigye Abraham, was reportedly abducted on 12 December 2025 from Ddungu Zone, Kawempe Division, Kampala District. He was recovered on 19 December 2025 from Busukuma, Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District, at about 9:30 a.m.

According to preliminary police investigations, the suspect, Muchunguzi David, who was employed as a shamba boy by the child’s father, Dr. Tumwesigye Emmanuel, left home with the child at around 4:00 p.m. on the day of the incident and failed to return. His whereabouts remained unknown, prompting the family to report the matter to Universal Police Post.

Police immediately launched search operations. Investigators later analyzed videos posted by the suspect on TikTok, which provided crucial leads that enabled security agencies to trace and recover the child safely.

Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspect, who remains at large.

Police said the child will be reunited with his parents after undergoing a medical examination.

Authorities have assured the public that further details will be communicated as investigations continue.
