Court grants bail to YouTuber Shalom Kaweesi in cyber harassment case
YouTuber Shalom Kaweesi has been released on bail by the Chief Magistrates’ Court in Makindye.
Shalom was granted bail on a non-cash bond of Shs 5 million, with each of his sureties also bonded for a non-cash Shs 5 million.
He was arrested and detained on charges of cyber harassment following a complaint filed by Jennifer “Full Figure” Nakangubi.
After his arrest, Shalom was remanded for a week as he awaited the hearing of his bail application.
On his return to court today, the magistrate approved his bail application. Shalom is now expected to return to court on 3rd February at 9:30 a.m. as the case proceeds.
